CAPS and District Councils

If you are interested in participating in the City's public safety endeavors, there are a number of avenues for community engagement. Please see schedules for the 12th and 14th CAPS offices, as well as the 12th and 14th District Councils. At a CAPS meeting, you have the chance to work directly with police on public safety concerns in your neighborhood, while District Councils offer a forum to discuss broader matters of public safety.

Beat Meetings

Beat meetings are held on a monthly basis by each police district and provide the space for residents to engage directly with officers. 1st Ward beats comprise portions of beats 1212, 1213, and 1215 in the 12th District; and portions of beats 1411, 1414, 1421, 1424, 1431, 1433, and 1434 in the 14th District.
