+ Logan Square

Logan Square Skate Park

  • Logan Square Skate Park is located under the expressway at N. Western Ave and Logan Blvd. The park is soon to be getting a makeover to replace the old wooden ramps and features with new, more durable concrete! It is currently closed due to construction on the Kennedy.

    Best for: skateboarding and other similar sports!

Logan Square Dog Park

  • Located at 2526 N Western Ave, Logan Square Dog Park (Park 556) is a fenced area of concrete for dogs to run freely off-leash. Please remember to clean up after your pet!

    Best for: canine camraderie!

Haas Park

  • One of the Park District's gems in the Logan Square area, Haas Park (2402 N. Washtenaw Ave) feautres turf soccer fields, a playground, a field house with a fitness center and community rooms, indoor basketball/volleyball court, and various programming for kids interested in recreational activities.

    Best for: fun for all ages, after-school activities, picnicking, and other special events!

Palmer Square Park

  • Palmer Square Park (2200 N. Kedzie Ave) is bordered on its east & west boundaries by two beautiful boulevards. The park is most known for its walking trails, mature trees, and sculptures throughout the green space.

    Best for: jogging, lazy lounging in the sun, and creative outdoor play for kids!

+ West Bucktown

Lucy Flower Park

  • This small park located at 2554 W. Moffat St. is a hidden gem for West Bucktown families. Features include a playground, water fountain play element, sandbox, and lovely plants and flowers to admire.

    Best for: young children and hot summer days!

Maplewood Park

  • Maplewood Park is most recognizable for its baseball/softball field, but also holds a playground and offers a variety of seasonal programs for toddler-aged children. They also host multiple free events for the community throughout the year, including block parties, easter egg hunts, and more.

    Best for: very young children, community events, and structured recreational programming!

The 606 / Bloomingdale Trail

  • The Bloomingdale Trail (commonly referred to as the 606) is a an elevated green space that was once an old, unused train track and was converted to a biking, walking, and running trail. There are several entrances to the trails throughout its duration, and many of them branch into ground-level parks at the entrances. The Department of Transportation is seeking to expand the trail eastward, with construction expected to begin in 2025. Click here if you're interested in reviewing the project scope.

    Best for: casual biking, running, walking, blading, or any other forms of active transport!

+ Wicker Park

Wicker Park

  • The eponymous hero of the Wicker Park neighborhood, Wikcer Park (1425 N. Damen Ave) is the focal point of the surrounding neighborhood. Park features include a fieldhouse, a historic fountain, a dog park, a playground, fields for team sports, beautiful gardens, and more. Many community events are hosted at the park throughout the year, including the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce's Farmers Market, summer camp, and concerts.

    Best for: the whole family to enjoy a range of amenities, organized programming for kids' sports, and attending community events!

Dean Park

  • A small park located at 1344 N. Dean St., Dean Park features a playground with an interactive water element, a small grassy field, and a community garden.

    Best for: young children, tranquil play, or a quick respite from the busy Milwaukee Ave corridor!

Pulaski Park

  • Most notable for its picturesque historic fieldhouse, Pulaski Park (1419 W. Blackhawk St) is one of the Park District's jewels. From an outdoor pool during the summer to scheduled programming for kids, from a theatre to the auditorium with a stage, from its clubroom to its baseball field, Pulaski Park has something for everyone.

    Best for: fun for the whole family, seasonal activities for kids, and special events throughout the year.
